Philippians 1:3 (NKJV)
Thankfulness and Prayer
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
Thanking God For Others
When was the last time you told someone” I thank God for you”? The apostle Paul regularly expressed his gratitude for his friends in his letters. It seems that the more Paul suffered, the more his letters dripped with thanksgiving. Remember he was jailed, shipwrecked, and beaten. He thanked God for those who stood with him, he thanked God for those who’d come to faith in Christ through his ministry.
Who are you thankful for? Think about the family and friends God has brought into your life. When you do this you will find yourself wanting to write them a note or cal them to encourage them. Maybe when you call them you will say, “I’ve just been thinking about you and how God has blessed my life because of you, and I want you to know that! ”
Thanking God For Others
Don’t miss the opportunity to tell the people you care about that they matter and you are thankful for them today!
I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
