Hey everyone and welcome to Refinery Life Church.
Today we are continuing our series titled “The Main Emphasis of the Inspired Writers of the Gospels.”
The books of the New Testament contain the written testimony of inspired writers who knew who Jesus was and what He was trying to accomplish in the hearts and lives of people.
This teaching series is based on the first five books of the New Testament.
Today we are talking about The Triumphant Church.
The book of Acts records the thrilling story the growth and victories of the triumphant church.
From a handful of one hundred and twenty members in chapter 1, the infant church grew to three thousand in chapter 2.
By chapter 4 the church exploded to more than five thousand!
In the face of persecution and martyrdom, the church in Acts continued to march on like a mighty army.
The church’s archenemy, Saul of Tarsus, was conquered by the grace of God and became its greatest advocate.
On three missionary journeys, this convert to the Christian faith established churches from one end of the Roman Empire to the other.
For fifteen years, it seems that wherever Paul placed his foot, a New Testament church sprang up, Antioch, Ephesus, Philippi, Iconium, Lystra, Derbe, and even Rome.
The triumphant church is the theme that echoes throughout the twenty eight chapters of Acts.
This is the theme the church today needs to hear, so that it might be challenged to become the triumphant church in our time.
