Marching Into The Sea
Exodus 14:22 (NKJV)
22 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
Hebrews 11:1 in the New Living Translation says that faith “gives us assurance about things we cannot see” We may find ourselves in places we cannot see the outcome. Faith says, in those places ‘trust in God’s promises”
Marching Into The Sea
Moses and the Israelites found themselves in such a place when they marched out of Egypt. They were on the banks of the Red Sea, and the Egyption army was closing in. The Israelites couldn’t see a way out, only faith in God’s ability to keep them safe would help. It seemed like madness to march through the water, who had ever seen such a thing before? But thats what God instructed. They had to believe not only that the waters would part, but that the waters wouldn’t crash back upon them as they walked across the floor of the sea. By faith the Israelites marched into the place where the red Sea had been, and they were saved.
Marching Into The Sea
The purpose of places in which we lose our vision is to strengthen our faith. If thats where you are today, let God’s promises give you assurance about the things you cannot see.
