Learning To Forgive
John 8:32 (NKJV)
32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
When we forgive someone, we are not minimising the harm the person caused, nor condoning the sin that was committed. we’re simply choosing the offence in the nail scarred hands of Jesus.
Learning To Forgive
I knew of a lady that hated her father because of long term abuse, when she became a Christian in her mid forties, she faced a dilemma. She knew she’d been forgiven of all her sins through Christ, but she had no desire to forgive her father. As she studied the Bible, however she began to realise that forgiveness isn’t a feeling but a requirement. One day she prayed to God, “God, I release my father into your loving arms. Please release me from the bondage of un forgiveness.” Her attitude towards her dad began to change, and so did his own heart. He eventually confessed Christ as his saviour and was baptised at the age of eighty four.
Learning to forgive others helps both the forgiven and the forgiver.
Learning To Forgive
I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
You’re important to God, and you’re important to us at www.faithministries.com.au. When it comes to prayer, we believe that God wants to meet your needs and reveal His promises to you.
