God’s Open Door Policy
Hebrews 11:7 (NKJV)
7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
One of the most welcoming signs is an open door. When our life group in on we leave the door open. for us this says “you’re welcome inside”. At work it means” I have time for you”. We also see an open door in Genesis 7:1when God extends an invitation to Noah ands his family, “come into the ark, you and all your household.” Its God’s open door policy.
Throughout scripture and down through history, God never sends judgement without providing a way of salvation. Yes, God flooded the earth to rid the world of a sinful generation, but He also provided a lifesaving ark to all who would enter the open door.
everyone in Noah’s time heard the message of judgement and was given the opportunity to be saved. Yet only eight people accepted God’s provision safety from the rising waters, Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives.
We have the same mission as Noah. Saved by faith in Christ, we are to relay God’s open door invitation the world. “Come to Jesus, for He is the way, and the truth, and the life. He is the door.”
I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
