Hey everyone and welcome to Refinery Life Church.
Today we are continuing our series titled “The Main Emphasis of the Inspired Writers of the Gospels.”
The books of the New Testament contain the written testimony of inspired writers who knew who Jesus was and what He was trying to accomplish in the hearts and lives of people.
This teaching series is based on the first five books of the New Testament.
Today we are talking about The God Who Understands.
Luke in emphasising the humanity of Jesus in his gospel account, was saying, “We have a God who understands.”
Matthew stresses the Messiahship of Christ, Mark His servanthood, but Luke, a doctor committed to alleviating human suffering, chooses to stress the humanity of Jesus.
He is concerned that suffering humanity know we have a God who understands.
Luke’s name appears only three times in the New Testament, and not one of these instances is in either book that he wrote.
In an effort to see what Luke said about this subject in all twenty four chapters of his book, I have reduced the statements down to three.
