Welcome to Refinery Life Australia.
The Lord’s Prayer.
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
This week we start a new study focusing on Paul’s letter to the Corinthians.
Today we are talking about God Is Faithful.
Text
1 Corinthians 1:9 NKJV
9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Scripture Reading
1 Corinthians 1:1-9 NKJV
Greeting
1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Gifts at Corinth
4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,
5 that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge,
6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,
7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,
8 who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Prayer
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Introduction
Great is the faithfulness of the Father, His compassions never fail.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
We get to see His mercies everyday.
He provides everything we need.
- Faithfulness is found in the Eternal One.
Other Bible passages confirm God’s faithfulness.
Hebrews 13:8 says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
And 1 John 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Let’s look at some real of God’s faithfulness.
God is faithful in His plan and purpose for all humankind.
His plan is for all humans to be free moral beings.
Humans have freedom to choose whether they will have fellowship with the Lord.
God does not invade that plan.
He is faithful, however, to having fellowship with humans.
This was his purpose in creation and redemption.
He is also faithful in His plans for people’s lives.
God is faithful in His promises and power.
Hebrews 10:23 tells us, Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
The Lord is faithful in answering prayer as He promised.
He is faithful to supply needs.
He is faithful in sending a comforter.
He is faithful in His promises of redemption, reward, and judgement.
God is faithful in His presence and patience.
He is with His servants is Christian work, He is with them in the valley of despair, He is with them at anytime.
No one can flee from His presence.
2. Because of God’s faithfulness, people should trust Him more and more.
Each person should trust Jesus Chest for Salvation.
Lay aside all excuses, human rationalisation, and the like and see Him as completely trustworthy for the eternal soul.
Each person should trust Him with their life.
People, within their own ability, are not able to make the most of their lives, but Jesus Christ has all knowledge, power, and love to do the best for us.
Each person needs to obey God’s wishes and orders so He can prove His faithfulness.
Conclusion.
There is no part of your life that you cannot trust God with, for He is faithful in every respect to each person.
Until next time
