Don’t just listen, DO!

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:22 NKJV)

We are being told not just to listen but to do, we must seek to understand the word and do what it says too often we turn up at church merely because we feel we have to and just tick the box while doing as we please the rest of the time

We are saved to do good work and make disciples not just to attend church once a week.

When I started to understand the fact that we must seek to understand the word and God has a plan for me and the path was already set, and all I needed to do was walk down the path things became both simpler and more difficult at the same time, knowing God has the plan for me is the easy part, not knowing what the plan is and what Gods timing will be is the difficult part. But by doing what God’s word asks of me and being patient while praying for wisdom and knowledge and seeking the strength to do this I know I am blessed and can and will be a blessing on others. And you can too!

Don’t just listen, DO!

Seek God and thank Him for guiding you as you do your best to live the life He wants for you and has planned for you, pray that you receive the wisdom and knowledge to do your work and the strength to fight your battle.

I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
