Luke 23:42 (NKJV)
Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
Amazing Grace
You probably know some people who believe that the course they set out on early in life cannot be altered. These people don’t do anything to change their circumstances because they feel it’s too hard or too late. Their fates are sealed in their minds.
Others are inspiring in their ability to see that it’s never too late to change. Whether it is a hardened prisoner who finally turns to Christ, a hopeless drug addict who finds Christ in the gutter at their lowest point, or an ailing senior citizen who resolves to get right with God before the end of their life, these people know something that the thief on the cross in todays scripture knew, that change is always possible.
The repentant their on the cross was so certain of Jesus’ deity that he pleaded with the Lord to remember him when He entered heaven. After living a life of sin, he saw in an instant that there was another way. While it was very, very late in this man’s life, it wasn’t too late to turn to Jesus. It isn’t too late for you, either.
Amazing Grace
Isn’t it inspiring to know that Jesus loves you so much? What amazing grace that our Saviour would offer eternity to us all, no matter who we are.
I really want to encourage you to be diligent with your Bible study time, because God has so much more for us than we can get from just going to church once or twice a week and hearing someone else talk about the Word. When you spend time with God, your life will change in amazing ways, because God is a Redeemer. There’s nothing that’s too hard for Him, and He can make you whole, spirit, soul and body!
